Corporate Governance Statement

Empire aspires to high standards of corporate governance in accordance with the principles of the Combined Code as appended to the UK Listing Rules, administered by the Financial Services Authority.

The Board is now actively implementing the revised Combined Code on Corporate Governance published in July 2003. The Board believes that the Group is already compliant with many of the recommendations of the revised Code and is working towards further compliance.
